Air Serbia unveils its expansion plan for summer 2027 with direct flights from Belgrade to Miami, Helsinki, Yerevan, Cluj-Napoca, Chisinau and Menorca. The new route to Florida will operate twice a week with Airbus A330 aircraft, joining the airline's flights to New York and Chicago. Ticket sales are now open.

Serbia's national airline, Air Serbia, continues to expand its international flight network and announces six new routes from its base at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, ahead of the 2027 summer season.

The expansion plan includes destinations in Europe, the Caucasus, and North America, with the highlight being the launch of direct flights to Miami, Florida, which will make the city the company's third destination in the United States, alongside New York and Chicago.

Through the move, the company seeks to strengthen Belgrade's position as a regional aviation hub, increase connecting passenger traffic, and expand flight options from Serbia to international destinations.

From Miami to the Spanish Islands: the New Lines

Belgrade - Yerevan, Armenia | Starting March 28, 2027

The route to the Armenian capital will be the first of six routes to be opened under the new plan. Flights are expected to operate three times a week, and later, from mid-June, to increase to four weekly flights.

Yerevan offers visitors a combination of history, culture, cuisine and mountainous landscapes, and the new route will strengthen Serbia's air connections with the Caucasus region.

Belgrade - Helsinki, Finland | Starting April 1, 2027

The company will return direct flights to the Finnish capital with a frequency of three weekly flights.

The renewal of the line is expected to facilitate business and tourist travel between the countries and strengthen the connection between Southeastern Europe and the countries of the North of the continent.

Belgrade - Miami, United States | Starting May 20, 2027

This is the most prominent move in the expansion plan.

Air Serbia will operate two weekly direct flights between Belgrade and Miami using wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft, which are used for its long-haul operations.

Miami will become the company's third destination in the United States, alongside New York and Chicago, and will strengthen its presence in the North American market.

The city is considered one of the most important tourist and business centers in the United States, with famous beaches, luxury hotels, shopping centers, extensive cruise activity, and connectivity to other destinations in Florida and Latin America.

Belgrade - Cluj-Napoca, Romania | Starting May 31, 2027

As announced yesterday, the company will add four weekly flights to the city of Cluj-Napoca, one of the most important economic, academic and cultural centers in Romania.

The line will strengthen connectivity between Serbia and Romania and provide additional options for passengers wishing to reach the Transylvania region.

Belgrade – Chisinau, Moldova | Starting June 3, 2027

Air Serbia will also enter the Moldovan market with four direct weekly flights to Chisinau, the country's capital.

The opening of the line will enable a new connection between the two capitals, and offer passengers from Moldova options to continue via Belgrade to additional destinations in the company's network.

Belgrade - Menorca, Spain | Starting June 16, 2027

The sixth line in the plan is intended for the island of Menorca in the Balearic Islands in Spain, with two seasonal weekly flights.

Menorca, known for its turquoise beaches, bays and resort villages, will offer travelers from Serbia another destination for summer vacations.

The choice of Miami as the new destination in the United States reflects Air Serbia's continued investment in long-haul flights.

After opening the routes to New York and Chicago, the route to Miami will allow the company to expand its operations in North America and appeal to additional audiences of tourists, business people and travelers visiting family and friends.

Miami is also one of the main gateways to the Caribbean and South America, so the new line may support passenger traffic beyond the domestic market between Serbia and Florida.

The six new routes reflect a strategy that combines business destinations, regional markets and international vacation destinations.

In addition to expanding its destination network, the company is also planning changes to its aircraft fleet during 2027, including replacing two Airbus A319 aircraft with larger A320 aircraft, with 180 seats, and adding a 118-seat Embraer E195 aircraft.

The move is expected to allow the company to increase capacity on existing lines and support the opening of additional lines.
