Around 70 airlines will serve 140 destinations from Berlin Airport this winter, including European city breaks, Lapland holidays and Middle East connections. The announcement follows a similar one from Frankfurt Airport, which is also getting ready to serve 231 destinations via 3,400 weekly departures this winter

New Destinations, Increased Frequencies

Berlin Airport has said that several airlines are adding destinations or adjusting frequencies for the winter season.

-AirBaltic will launch a weekly service to Kuusamo in Finnish Lapland on December 19, giving travelers another option for winter holidays in northern Finland.

-Eurowings is expanding its network from BER with a new route to Baghdad, launching on December 10. The service will operate weekly, increasing to twice a week during the Christmas and New Year period. The airline will also resume flights to Sarajevo on December 20 and operate seasonal services to Edinburgh between December 4 and January 4.

Eurowings will connect Berlin with Rome four times a week and Bologna three times a week from November 2. It will also resume daily flights to Dubai on November 1, while services to Jeddah will return on November 12 with two weekly departures.

The airline is increasing its Finnish Lapland offering as well. Kuusamo will join the schedule on December 20, while flights to Rovaniemi and Kittilä will operate more frequently than during the previous winter season.

-Wizz Air is also adding several destinations. Flights to Vilnius will begin on October 26, operating three times a week, followed by Sarajevo on December 3, with two weekly services. Daily flights to Milan-Malpensa will launch on December 14, alongside three weekly flights to Pristina. Suceava, in Romania, will join the network on December 17, also with three flights a week.

More Connections to the Middle East and Beyond

The winter schedule also includes additional options for long-haul connections.

-Condor has operated daily nonstop flights to Abu Dhabi since October 15, in a codeshare arrangement with Etihad Airways. Passengers can connect through the Emirati capital to destinations across Asia, Africa and Australia.

-Qatar Airways will restore three daily flights between BER and Doha from November 1, providing further connections across its international network.

-Air Algérie will maintain a weekly service to Algiers, with the operating day moving to Sunday. From the Algerian capital, passengers can connect to destinations elsewhere in Africa.

-easyJet will operate twice-weekly flights to Newcastle between November 20 and December 21, serving travelers planning a seasonal city break. The airline will also offer direct connections to both Milan-Malpensa and Milan-Linate.

Terminal 2 Hours Change in November

BER is also reminding passengers of a change to Terminal 2 operating hours from November 2, 2026.

Check-in counters will open between two and two and a half hours before departure, depending on the airline. Passengers traveling with hand luggage only can also use the security checkpoints in Terminal 1, which will continue to open at 4 a.m. All departure gates remain accessible from every security checkpoint.

Travelers are advised to check their airline's latest flight information before departure, particularly when traveling on newly launched or seasonal routes.
