The Air France-KLM Group has announced a new summer promotion designed to give travelers greater flexibility while reassuring passengers that its flight schedule remains on track despite ongoing concerns about fuel availability.
Starting June 3, 2026, Air France, KLM, and Transavia are offering customers departing from France the ability to change their tickets free of charge, regardless of fare type or travel class. The offer applies across the group's airlines and covers Economy, Premium Economy, and Business Class tickets on eligible bookings.
The campaign comes as fuel supply issues have attracted significant attention in Europe in recent months. However, the group said current information indicates it expects to operate its full summer schedule.
"Air France, KLM, and Transavia will be carrying all their customers this summer," said Benjamin Smith, Chief Executive Officer of the Air France-KLM Group.
Smith added that the airlines continue to monitor fuel availability at airports across their networks and noted that recent assessments by French and Dutch authorities have been encouraging ahead of the peak travel period.
According to the group, Air France, KLM, and Transavia are scheduled to operate nearly 2,200 flights per day this summer, serving more than 320 destinations worldwide.
In addition to free ticket changes, Air France is also offering double Flying Blue miles on long haul Economy Class tickets booked during the promotional period, providing an extra incentive for travelers planning summer holidays.
The airline group also sought to reassure customers concerned about potential fuel-related price increases. It confirmed that passengers with already booked and paid tickets will not face additional fare adjustments if fuel costs rise in the future.
The promotion is currently available for trips departing from France, while similar offers for travelers departing from the Netherlands are expected to be announced by KLM and Transavia in the coming days.
The move reflects growing competition among European airlines for summer travelers while also addressing customer concerns about uncertainty surrounding fuel supplies and travel costs during the busy holiday season.
