Japan's All Nippon Airways group, which celebrated 40 years of global service earlier this year, ANA Group, and Riyadh Air have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore a broader partnership aimed at improving travel options between Japan, Saudi Arabia, the Middle East and Africa.
Interline and Codeshare Agreements
The airlines are considering interline and codeshare agreements, which could allow passengers to book connecting journeys on a single ticket and check baggage through to their final destination.
The potential codeshare network could connect Riyadh with destinations across the Middle East and Africa, while also linking ANA's domestic network in Japan. The airlines are also exploring connections through major Asian airports.

The partnership is expected to provide passengers with more convenient connections and a wider choice of destinations as the two airlines develop their cooperation.
Revised Schedule to Answer Strong Demand to Japan
Also today, ANA announced a revised flight schedule for the second half of fiscal year 2026, adding international flights, increasing frequencies on several key routes, and making seasonal adjustments across its ANA and Peach networks.
The changes will cover the period from October 25, 2026, through March 27, 2027, and are designed to strengthen the group's passenger operations during a period of strong inbound demand to Japan.
Among the most notable changes is the expansion of services between Japan and major Asian destinations.
ANA will make its Tokyo Narita to Mumbai service daily from September 1, increasing from three weekly flights. The Narita to Perth route will also become daily from October 25, while additional services will be introduced on the Narita to Singapore route from September 1.
The airline also plans to increase flights between Narita and Bangkok, with additional services operating during parts of the schedule period.
In Europe, ANA plans to increase its Haneda to Milan route to daily service during the second half of FY2026. The airline says the change is part of an effort to match capacity with seasonal demand.

New ANA Aircraft and Upgraded Cabins
Travelers could also see a major improvement in the onboard experience later in the year.
Beginning in November 2026, ANA expects to receive new Boeing 787-9 aircraft featuring its latest cabin configuration. The aircraft will introduce the airline's new Business Class seat, THE Room FX, alongside updated Premium Economy and Economy Class seats.
More Peach Flights
ANA Group's low-cost carrier, Peach Aviation, will also expand its international network.
The Narita to Seoul Incheon route, scheduled to launch September 20, will operate daily throughout the second half of the fiscal year.
Peach will also adjust frequencies on several routes connecting Japan with Seoul, Hong Kong and Taiwan according to seasonal demand. Overall, Peach's international flights are expected to increase by 9%, while domestic flights will rise by 10% compared with the same period last year.
The group is also making changes to domestic operations. ANA will increase flights on several popular routes, including Itami to Sapporo, Itami to Hakodate and Itami to Okinawa.
