Heavy, persistent rain has been falling since the morning (20.12) across the country. Due to the rains and concerns about polluted runoff and drainage water flowing to the beaches, the Ministry of Health warns the public against swimming at the beaches of Tel Aviv, Herzliya, and Bat Yam.
Swimming is prohibited until the clean sea water sample results are received, and the ministry continues to monitor the situation.
The heavy rains have spread to many areas of the country. In the morning, 50 millimeters of rain were measured in the Sharon region, with other areas expected to measure nearly 100 millimeters by the end of the day.
